An error code GUI popped up and could not be cleared. It read the following: Error in Function Bufin Internal Error. FIFO overflow occured. I could not stop or quit the Kcor program and the small GUI would not allow me to put the lens cover back into beam. I shut down the Kcor programs and have re-started them. I am no longer getting an error code. I checked that the lens cover can go in and out of position, and it is now working correctly. I have started the Focus routine and re-aligned the occulter, but the amount of aerosols visible in the image is overwhelming. Ran Focus routine several time to finally obtain decent parabola. Put Polarizer into beam to verify polarization: Mid, Bright, Dark, Mid. Kcor running. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Fri Dec 04 23:21:06 GMT 2020 Orographic clouds coming up the western slope and beginning to cover Maunaloa. Clouds forming over summit. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Fri Dec 04 23:21:47 GMT 2020 Stopped Kcor. Closed dome shutter doors and windows. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Fri Dec 04 23:23:25 GMT 2020 Good observation all morning. Aerosols became very heavy around noon HST. ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: mcotter
