I tried blowing off the Kcor 01 again but it made no difference. While inspecting the lens I could see a noticeable artifact on the back side of the lens at about the 5:00 o'clock position; I am unsure if this is the same artifact I am seeing in the Focus routine. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Thu Dec 24 18:11:39 GMT 2020 Kcor running. Checked with Polarizer in beam, checked good; Mid, Bright, Dark, Mid. ___end___ Thu Dec 24 19:57:31 GMT 2020 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited Thu Dec 24 19:59:44 GMT 2020 KCOR Start Calibration script: c:\kcor\mlso-calibration22deg-20171025.ini Thu Dec 24 20:15:00 GMT 2020 KCOR End Calibration Script GPS COMMENT by MLSO: Thu Dec 24 21:45:11 GMT 2020 Successfully logged in to system Good disk mount GPS software running Last 5 GPS data files are: /mnt/usb/dataoutiq_2020_354_2338.bin 2147483647 /mnt/usb/dataoutiq_2020_355_2338.bin 2147483647 /mnt/usb/dataoutiq_2020_356_2338.bin 2147483647 /mnt/usb/dataoutiq_2020_357_2338.bin 2147483647 /mnt/usb/dataoutiq_2020_358_2338.bin 2147483647 Disk usage: /dev/sda1 916.9G 298.9G 571.4G 34% /mnt/usb ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Thu Dec 24 23:33:17 GMT 2020 The Kilauea Volcano is pumping a lot of ash and crud into the sky. The air below the inversion layer is so dark and grey that I cannot see Hualalai or the Kohala Coast. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Fri Dec 25 00:12:06 GMT 2020 Sky was relatively clear this morning, but aerosols could be seen in images. Aerosols have increased during the day and the sky is getting hazy. I think that the eruption of Kilauea Volcano has put a lot of particles in the air as it is very visible when looking out across the valley. Kcor image quality has degraded over the course of the day. ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: mcotter
