Looks like it will be preventing data collection for the next hour +. ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY berkey: Fri Apr 10 18:54:03 GMT 2020 Installed the new PCIe-6341 board in Kcor2. And move the SCB68 cable over from the Pxie chassis to the PCIe-6341. Proceeding to testing. ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY berkey: Fri Apr 10 20:01:40 GMT 2020 PCIe-6341 testing looked ok. Attempting to revert to PXIe chassis to understand the process in case that becomes a need in the future. ___end___ Fri Apr 10 20:03:29 GMT 2020 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited Fri Apr 10 20:13:16 GMT 2020 SGS Alignment complete Fri Apr 10 20:13:17 GMT 2020 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited KCOR COMMENT BY berkey: Fri Apr 10 20:14:41 GMT 2020 Sky cleared up enough to possible see some corona, however it was bright enough that the focus routine didnt converge. Running with the pxie chassis. ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY berkey: Fri Apr 10 20:21:37 GMT 2020 Nrgf images look good reverting back to PCIe board ___end___ Fri Apr 10 20:28:17 GMT 2020 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited KCOR COMMENT BY berkey: Fri Apr 10 20:36:24 GMT 2020 First assessment of the real-time quicklook and fullres images show that PCIe board seems to give reasonable images. The outer field seems dark than the images from 15 minutes ago with the PXIe chassis, but I think this is related to sky brightness not instrument config. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Fri Apr 10 20:37:05 GMT 2020 Window in the cirrus closed again, stopping kcor. ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY berkey: Fri Apr 10 20:41:15 GMT 2020 PCIe NRGF's look good too. I think we will leave the system in this configuration for now on. ___end___ ****EVENT COMMENT BY berkey**** : Fri Apr 10 21:05:24 GMT 2020 Erruption seen in kcor near PA 300 sometime between the 17UT and 20Ut breaks in the cirrus. Looks like there is some evolution of the structure between 20 and 20:30Ut. Limb and disk activity can also be seen in the gong halpha during this time. ___end___ GPS COMMENT by MLSO: Fri Apr 10 21:45:06 GMT 2020 Successfully logged in to system Good disk mount GPS software running Last 5 GPS data files are: /mnt/usb/dataoutiq_2020_096_2146.bin 2147483647 /mnt/usb/dataoutiq_2020_097_2146.bin 2147483647 /mnt/usb/dataoutiq_2020_098_2146.bin 2147483647 /mnt/usb/dataoutiq_2020_099_2146.bin 2147483647 /mnt/usb/dataoutiq_2020_100_2146.bin 2147483647 ___end___ Fri Apr 10 22:46:03 GMT 2020 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited Sat Apr 11 03:39:06 GMT 2020 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited KCOR COMMENT BY berkey: Sat Apr 11 03:43:42 GMT 2020 Cleaned the back side Kcor o1 with first contact. It took 4 rounds of application, the three previous applications failed either by tearing that left some material in the middle of the lens such that I couldnt figure out how to lift it with out adding a lot more material. I also attemped to peal the material too early a couple times leaving a residue in some places on the lens. I think I learned a couple tricks about the application, as the last application went the smoothest. Attempted to take some last minute data before sunset, but there is a touch of cirrus so we may not get good enough data thru the system to understand now the cleaning went. ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY berkey: Sat Apr 11 04:21:11 GMT 2020 In the testing the first time kcor came up in the wrong state; but restarting the labview code fixed the modualtion. By the time I got the modulation right I think the sky got too bright for us to see any corona so I cannot confirm if the lens cleaning went well or poorly. But between the sky and lens the images are poor. ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: berkey
