Wisps of Cirrus clouds are forming in the sky, but mostly to the west of where we are currently viewing. Altocumulus clouds have formed along the eastern slope of Maunaloa and seems to be slowly advancing. There are a lot of aerosols in the Kcor images, but they seem to come and go. I am going to let Kcor continue to run and monitor the images. If the images seem to be mostly acceptable I'll let it continue, but if the images become excessive with the aerosols I'll pause Kcor again. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Thu Feb 25 20:03:43 GMT 2021 Kcor paused. The images became excessively bright. I checked the sky outside and could see that Altocumulus clouds were forming over the observatory, and aerosols were visible while looking out of the dome at the sky. I also could feel a light mist in the air. I shut the dome shutter doors and windows and will wait for conditions to improve. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Thu Feb 25 23:51:56 GMT 2021 The sky continues to be overcast with increasing cloud coverage all over the summit and particularly dark gray clouds to the south, west and north. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Fri Feb 26 00:16:07 GMT 2021 Leaving early today. ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: mcotter
