Looks like we must have bumped either the power or usb cable while working in the dome. Unplugging and reseating the cable both the power cable and usb connection seemed to have cleared up the problem. ___end___ UCoMP COMMENT BY berkey: Tue Mar 02 18:17:19 GMT 2021 O1 ND installed in beam. All O1 mechanims verified to work (O1, cover and Diffuser). ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Tue Mar 02 18:18:54 GMT 2021 Dome ADR sensors needed a a little adjustment this morning, which isn't a supprise since we were unable to test the alignment after installing them yesterday. ___end___ Tue Mar 02 18:19:02 GMT 2021 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited Tue Mar 02 19:03:04 GMT 2021 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited Tue Mar 02 20:02:30 GMT 2021 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited Tue Mar 02 21:03:48 GMT 2021 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited Tue Mar 02 21:05:13 GMT 2021 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Tue Mar 02 21:31:54 GMT 2021 KCOR End Patrol Tue Mar 02 21:31:56 GMT 2021 KCOR End Patrol GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Tue Mar 02 21:32:10 GMT 2021 Clouds ___end___ Tue Mar 02 23:40:36 GMT 2021 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Tue Mar 02 23:44:08 GMT 2021 Building camera appears to have failed during the lightening strike. It appears there is power so it looks like the computer has some how failed. More troubleshooting to follow when time allows. ___end___ GPS COMMENT BY berkey: Tue Mar 02 23:48:52 GMT 2021 Lightening looks like it knocked out some part of the COSMIC GPS system. It appears the problem occured in the 1-4 antenna splitter. So we are currently running the only Septentrio plugged in. Trimble Alloy unit is disconnected from the antenna and Qian's Cases unit is in Boulder. ___end___ **GENERAL PROBLEM COMMENT BY berkey** : Wed Mar 03 02:51:40 GMT 2021 The observatory telephone(s) stopped working as a result of the lightning strike. Hawaii Telcom was at the NOAA facility testing and repairing their phones, so at the same time they checked our lines as well. The advised us that our line were intact from their equipment in the building they have on site and said that it was a problem within our building or connecting lines. We found that the wireless portable phone must have taken a hit during the lightning strike and it was causing our phones to malfunction. We removed the wireless phone from the system and the phone in the observatory is again working. ___end___ GONG COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Mar 03 02:54:09 GMT 2021 During the lightning strike a ground filter that the GONG telephone line ran through failed, causing the telephone to stop working. The tech from Hawaiian Tel bypassed the filter and the phone is again working. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Mar 03 03:09:45 GMT 2021 The sky is becoming exceedingly bright. Stopping Kcor. ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: berkey, mcotter
