Using this new target the UCoMP O1 was aligned to the center of the file lens in left/right (east/west). With the widen spar extension holes the field lens image now looks centered on the west side of the spar slot. Perviously we needed more alignment range to move the O1 further east. So we probably widen the spar extensions holes too much and would have been happy with 9/16" instead of 5/8" Focus check was then run where we found the 530 came into focus at about 8mm and the 1083 didnt come into focus at all. The O1 was then shifted sunward (+Z focus range direction) by ~6.2mm. And the O1 was returned in East-west to some reference marks placed on the spar. If the focus looks good we will repeat the East west test. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Mar 24 01:22:55 GMT 2021 Looks like it will stay cloudy all day. ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: berkey
