I put the cover in the beam and am now waiting for the Kcor instrument to get above the dome rim to check and see if the sky is just too bright at this time to run the instruments. ___end___ Sat Oct 23 17:21:12 GMT 2021 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited Sat Oct 23 17:22:03 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook dark_80ms_2beam_16sums_BOTH.cbk line 0 Sat Oct 23 17:23:20 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook 637_Scan.cbk line 0 Sat Oct 23 17:25:42 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook 656_Scan.cbk line 0 Sat Oct 23 17:27:40 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook 789_Scan.cbk line 0 Sat Oct 23 17:29:40 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook 1074_Scan.cbk line 0 Sat Oct 23 17:31:41 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook 1079_Scan.cbk line 0 Sat Oct 23 17:33:39 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook all_wavelenght_coronal_flat.cbk line 0 KCOR COMMENT BY mcotter: Sat Oct 23 17:35:46 GMT 2021 Kcor now running. I went to the dome and saw that the spar had tracked into the ladder. I had placed the ladder against center of the north wall, but this area is now in the spars way as it tracks. I realigned the spar and moved the ladder adjacent to the door, so I think this should be fine for now. I don't believe it could have been misaligned more than a few minutes. ___end___ Sat Oct 23 22:56:33 GMT 2021 UCoMP Paused for clouds GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sat Oct 23 23:07:37 GMT 2021 Clouds are now starting to form over the observatory, with Orthographic clouds beginning to make their way up the slopes of Maunaloa from the east, north and west. There are clouds visible in the souther sky near the summit of Maunaloa, but so far they have not moved toward the science area. There is little to no wind, so it appears the warming air atop of Maunaloa has created an upward convection, drawing the clouds that have formed at lower elevations upward from all directions. ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY mcotter: Sat Oct 23 23:08:09 GMT 2021 Kcor has been stopped due to clouds in the viewing area. ___end___ UCoMP COMMENT BY mcotter: Sat Oct 23 23:08:36 GMT 2021 Ucomp has been paused due to clouds in the viewing area. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sat Oct 23 23:36:37 GMT 2021 ___end___ Sat Oct 23 23:44:41 GMT 2021 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited KCOR COMMENT BY mcotter: Sat Oct 23 23:47:00 GMT 2021 There have been a few gaps in the clouds so I tried to run the Kcor focus routine but the sky is entirely too bright to observe at this time. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Oct 24 00:25:48 GMT 2021 ___end___ Sun Oct 24 01:02:04 GMT 2021 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited Sun Oct 24 01:02:19 GMT 2021 UCoMP Restarted from pause GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Oct 24 01:15:23 GMT 2021 The day started out clear but by midday clouds started forming over the observatory and the sky became quite bright with aerosols. ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: mcotter
