A few additional clouds can be observed over the summit of Maunaloa to the south, but so far they are staying away. Additionally, aerosols have increased dramatically over the last hour or so and are becoming quite noticeable in the images. ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY mcotter: Tue Mar 01 00:14:34 GMT 2022 The Kcor Synoptic images are beginning to brighten due to the increase in aerosol activity. ___end___ Tue Mar 01 00:15:31 GMT 2022 Running UCOMP Cookbook all_wavelenght_coronal.cbk line 0 KCOR COMMENT BY mcotter: Tue Mar 01 00:18:43 GMT 2022 I have been watching the occulter position closely today and have observed many times where the coronal ring around the occulter is noticeably brighter on one side than the other. At approximately 2:00pm HST I changed the threshold level to 20000 from 15000 to see if it would help with this disparity. I will continue to monitor and see if I can identify any change and/or improvement in the occulter positioning. ___end___ WEATHER COMMENT: mcotter: Tue Mar 01 00:22:43 GMT 2022 Clouds are continuing to increase from the northeast with additional clouds now forming and dissipating within the immediate area of observatory and viewing area as well. ___end___ Tue Mar 01 00:32:35 GMT 2022 UCoMP Paused for clouds WEATHER COMMENT: mcotter: Tue Mar 01 00:34:35 GMT 2022 Clouds are beginning to encroach into the viewing area of the viewing area. Started of with the sky clear in all directions then in the early afternoon aerosols began to increase greatly. By mid afternoon clouds moved in from the north, quickly followed by clouds forming above the observatory and then moving in from all directions. Good Day! ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: mcotter
