Currently very good observing conditions are taking place. ___end___ WEATHER COMMENT: mcotter: Mon May 09 20:17:32 GMT 2022 Satellite images show no immediate or near storm systems to hinder observations for at least the next couple of days. ___end___ Mon May 09 20:46:39 GMT 2022 UCoMP Paused for clouds WEATHER COMMENT: mcotter: Mon May 09 20:51:55 GMT 2022 The sky quickly became very bright, too bright to observe, though there are no clouds visible in the Yawcam image. I paused both instruments and went outside to look at the sky. There is no specific cloud formation present in the viewing area but long wisps of high altitude Cirrus clouds can be observed in different areas of the sky. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Mon May 09 21:10:36 GMT 2022 Over the last ten minutes or so a noticeable thin layer of Cirrostratus clouds have formed and the sky is now lightly overcast. I attempted to restart the instruments, but the sky conditions are entirely too bright to observe at this time. ___end___ Mon May 09 22:46:38 GMT 2022 UCoMP Restarted from pause WEATHER COMMENT: mcotter: Mon May 09 22:48:51 GMT 2022 The Cirrostratus clouds that were covering the sky earlier have dissipated and the sky, though a little bright, looks much clearer. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Mon May 09 22:49:17 GMT 2022 Both instrument are again on sky and observing. ___end___ Mon May 09 22:57:42 GMT 2022 UCoMP Paused for clouds WEATHER COMMENT: mcotter: Mon May 09 22:58:18 GMT 2022 The sky is getting bright again. In the late morning, early afternoon, the sky became quite bright with Cirrostratus clouds and observing had to be repeatedly paused until finally observing needed to be stopped by mid afternoon. ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: mcotter
