There appears a light spot PA 225 deg and approx halfway between occulter edge and edge of Kcor NRGF image. ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY mcotter: Sat Apr 02 19:01:08 GMT 2022 The light spot which appeared earlier at PA 225 deg has been apparently removed from the image by blowing off the filed lens but now I see another spot at PA 160 deg about an inch from the edge of the image. Blowing off the field lens again to see if this time it gets removed. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sat Apr 02 19:37:23 GMT 2022 PM Blew off Kcor Field Lens. The second time Kcor the Field Lens was blown off has removed the spot that was located at PA 160 deg and now all artifacts that were seemingly present on the Field Lens have now been removed. ___end___ Sat Apr 02 21:26:58 GMT 2022 KCOR Start Calibration script: c:\kcor\mlso-calibration22deg-20171025.ini Sat Apr 02 21:42:09 GMT 2022 KCOR End Calibration Script WEATHER COMMENT: mcotter: Sun Apr 03 00:28:34 GMT 2022 Orthographic clouds are beginning to enter the viewing area from the north-northwest. Aerosols have increased within the last hour. ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Apr 03 00:29:55 GMT 2022 The Kcor NRGF image has gotten a bit grainy due to elevated aerosols in the afternoon sky. ___end___ **UCoMP PROBLEM COMMENT BY mcotter** : Sun Apr 03 00:48:06 GMT 2022 Ucomp instrument controller program crashed from earlier today. It had appeared to be running normally when I noticed it was hung up. The program was unresponsive so I exited the program and tried to restart it. I have restarted the Ucomp controller program but it is hanging up again. The Filter wheel LED is not illuminated so I am going to check the cable connections as I did last week. ___end___ WEATHER COMMENT: mcotter: Sun Apr 03 00:48:46 GMT 2022 Clouds have entered the viewing area. Kcor has been stopped. ___end___ Sun Apr 03 00:57:03 GMT 2022 Running UCOMP Cookbook poor-weather-coronal-with-flats.cbk line 0 Sun Apr 03 00:57:15 GMT 2022 UCoMP Paused for clouds Sun Apr 03 00:58:42 GMT 2022 UCoMP Restarted from pause GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Apr 03 01:01:40 GMT 2022 The sky has cleared a bit so I have Kcor and Ucomp back on sky. ___end___ Sun Apr 03 01:08:33 GMT 2022 UCoMP Paused for clouds **UCoMP PROBLEM COMMENT BY mcotter** : Sun Apr 03 01:09:10 GMT 2022 The Ucomp controller program froze up and was unresponsive. When I finally got the program running the Filterwheel LED would not illuminate and the program was hung up again (it would not go into the daily menu GUI when selected). I went to the dome and checked the cables to the back of the instrument and they were all seemingly connected. I pulled the Filterwheel cable from the bulkhead connector located at the bottom of the instrument and reinserted the connector and the Filterwheel LED came on that is located in the Ucomp controller GUI. After doing Filterwheel cable connector reset the Ucomp controller program seems to be operating normally. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Apr 03 01:10:21 GMT 2022 The internet GUI's and associated webcams have all crashed. I will begin troubleshooting to see if I can get them back up. ___end___ WEATHER COMMENT: mcotter: Sun Apr 03 01:11:12 GMT 2022 Clouds are again in the viewing area. Kcor and Ucomp have both been paused due to sky conditions. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Apr 03 01:30:12 GMT 2022 I was able to get some of the internet sites and webcams back up, including weather, the northcam images and Yawcam #1 that is mounted on the spar. ___end___ WEATHER COMMENT: mcotter: Sun Apr 03 01:52:17 GMT 2022 Auto weather updates are currently unavailable. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Apr 03 01:53:50 GMT 2022 Aerosols have increased dramatically and clouds are covering much of the viewing area. The wind is currently blowing from the west and is getting stronger. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Apr 03 01:57:14 GMT 2022 I tried running the Kcor instrument when there was a small break in the clouds but the sky is much too bright with aerosols. ___end___ Sun Apr 03 02:19:30 GMT 2022 UCoMP Restarted from pause GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Apr 03 02:28:44 GMT 2022 The day started out with high aerosols and windy conditions. The aerosols and winds came down a bit later in the morning. By early afternoon both began to pick up again until finally the aerosols became too high and Orthographic clouds encroached in on the viewing area. ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: mcotter
