Temp: 39.8f, Humidity: 87%, Pressure: 28.806in, Wind: 7mph from 227degs, Skies: Completely overcast skies in all directions and lower lever clouds all around the Saddle Valley and out to the coastlines of the Big Island. Particularly dark gray clouds over the science area and observatory at this time. Cold and damp at the science area.
Cannot open dome at this time due to poor sky conditions.

The sky overhead continues to be completely overcast with increasing clouds at lower elevations and in the Saddle Valley. A light rain and mist has been present through much of the morning.
Based on satellite observation, Hawaii is in the midst of very large storm system that appears to be tracking directly over the Hawaiian Islands, particularly the Big Island, for the next couple of days. Based on the satellite forecast, it is very unlikely that observation will be conducted today or tomorrow. Possibly by Saturday we will see a break in the weather so that we may get some observations.
