Existing log entries were migrated over to the new system. Logger code and kcor api access were updated to point at the new host. Slight logic change was made to the logging so now the logger writes log reports to kodiak:/data/mlsolog and emails logs from this location. It is the responsibility of another process to get the files Boulder after this. ___end___ Mon Oct 26 23:16:11 GMT 2026 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Testing kcor logging. Mon Oct 26 23:16:17 GMT 2026 KCOR End Patrol GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Mon Oct 26 23:46:25 GMT 2026 Network changes. kodiak put on vpn to allow direct connections and copies from it to Boulder without extra hoops. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Mon Oct 26 23:53:22 GMT 2026 entry was edited New inotify scripts setup to detect new files on kodiak and rsync them to the appropriate location in Boulder. Scripts for logs folder, kcor and ucomp data files were all created with relevant crontabs installed. Testing with the logs, and kcor (in testing mode) seemed showed success. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Tue Oct 27 01:17:01 GMT 2026 Investigation of the Simco Air gun, it looks like something have failed internally. The trigger is reacting normally but the air gets stuck on once it triggers. at this point it looks like we may need to replace the system. As short term kludge, turing off the system stops the air flow. So we can get brief bursts of higher flow by turn it off waiting for the pressure to built then using a burst of higher pressure, then turn off the system for a few seconds. Turn it back on again and let the pressure rebuild before bowling the lens again. ___end___ Logger COMMENT BY berkey: Tue Oct 27 01:18:29 GMT 2026 Log closed ONSITE STAFF: berkey ___end___
