Drove to the observatory for the first time in YEARS!!!.      Setting up new temporary power, logging system and associated hardware.


Lisa says 3 years 4 months 3 days since last visit.

PSPT dome floor had water that accumulated over the years.  Lisa observed some accumulation in contains but no water was seen on the floor.  The assumption is this blew in through the dome skirt during the winds at some point over the last year?

Added an access hole to get the DC solar power from the panels west of the building to the power bank.

Check for eclipse and parker data on instrument hosts.

Found some data on Kcor that was taken during Parker that does not appear to be on dawn.

Found some data on UCoMP that was taken during Parker and the eclipse that was not on dawn.

Extra data will be copied to a temp folder on Dawn when I am off the mountain.

At the end of the day the day log will be send to all-mlso@ucar.edu and temporally (until we identify the new non-ldm location) copied to /home/mlso/mlso_log

Day one of mlso recovery summary:

Tuned the old goal zero solar power system back on and got the COSMIC experiment back online.

Some facility cleanup to make more space or continued actives for MLSO and the contractor.

Two of the four solar panels have been installed and mounted.  The system seems to be working well.  We have a plan to get the other two installed in the coming days.

Checked kcor/ucomp for data that did not get transferred  to Boulder.   Multiple files were found but not checked to see if they were engineering or science data.

tomorrow we plan to start SGS update.
