Waiting for better conditions to start up. ___end___ ** GENERAL PM berkey ** : Sat Apr 04 18:03:59 GMT 2026 entry was edited Washed Kcor O1. Linear structures about 2/3 of the way from the center of the O1 were seen. These may have been the source of the fringes seen in the pervious data. An an attempt was made to clean these structures however they seemed persistent against soap, water and isopropyl. These may represent a physical change to the lens surface not just something on top. Further during the course of the clean the water tool came into contact with the lens surface near the middle of the lens likely causing some more damage to the lens surface. An effort was made to clean the dust and other material that fell on the O1 and it was reinstalled in the telescope to check out the system. ___end___ ** GENERAL PROBLEM REPORTED BY berkey ** : Sat Apr 04 19:01:54 GMT 2026 Internet down Network access was down all morning. Reseating the fibers in the media convert SFP seemed to address the issue. ___end___ ** KCOR PM berkey ** : Sat Apr 04 19:46:20 GMT 2026 Washed Kcor O1 An attempt was made to blow off the big bullet hole seen on the northwest. The particle would not move with the air tools alone, so the southern front of the O1 was washed in the area of the particle to remove it. ___end___ Weather COMMENT BY lisapg: Sat Apr 04 20:24:26 GMT 2026 MLO Current Weather Timestamp (UTC): 2026-04-04 20:26:00 Temperature : 51.39 deg F Dew Point : -4.92 deg F Pressure : 678.58 mbar Wind Speed : 9.17 mph Wind Direction : 24.7 deg Skies: Sky clear at present. ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY lisapg: Sat Apr 04 20:44:19 GMT 2026 Kcor calibration started ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY lisapg: Sat Apr 04 21:00:09 GMT 2026 Kcor calibration finished ___end___ CME Retraction COMMENT BY lisapg: Sat Apr 04 21:16:06 GMT 2026 The automated cme alert sent out a bogus alert; we are seeing nothing but fringing moving in that area. This exhausted out supply of the materials, we only only have a tiny amount in a spray bottle. The materials appears to still be drying so we will leave it overnight. To help the cure time a heater was brought into the clean area to up the temp into the ~75 F zone up from ~50 F that was otherwise in the room. This heating used the majority of the battery life remaining and we will need to other operations at this time if we want to keep the modulator heater on over night and power to open the dome in the morning. ___end___ Logger COMMENT BY berkey: Sat Apr 04 22:58:16 GMT 2026 Log closed ONSITE STAFF: berkey, lisapg ___end___
