The Kcor Instrument is now observing. The skies are slightly bright, but the Kcor Synoptic Acquisition images look good. ___end___ ** KCOR PROBLEM REPORTED BY mcotter ** : Tue May 05 18:45:38 GMT 2026 Pipeline Down. The Kcor Instrument has been successfully running since approximately 17:05 UT this morning, but I noticed after a short period of time that we were not getting any processed NRGF Images back from Boulder. I checked the Kcor Socketcam and Watchdog Command windows and the Kcor Instrument appeared to be collecting the data correctly. Checking the Update Data and NRGF Command windows showed that the data was not making it back. I checked that there was a file folder with today's date present on the Wahoo 2 computer and it was there. I then checked the Kcor Level 0 folder to see if any data was in the file, but there were only a couple of files and there should have been many. At this point I was fairly certain that the problem was in the Pipeline in Boulder so I started writing an email to Michael Galloy to alert him that there was a problem going on with the Kcor Pipeline. At about this time Ben arrived onsite and he looked through the collected data and the data files located in Bolder and he determined that the pipeline failure was happening at the Level 0 processing. I included this information in my email to Michael and sent the email out. Aerosols are high and are quite visible in the Level 0 images. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Tue May 05 19:58:40 GMT 2026 When I ran the Focus routine early this morning aerosols were quite visible in the Focus images, which may have accounted for the Focus Number being lower than normal (normal Focus Range number is 133.50), which it came in at 132.4. For this reason I re-ran the Focus routine before doing the Calibration. I ran the Focus routine again and the Focus number came in at 133.0. The Kcor Instrument was refocused earlier and when the instrument was re-started it came up in the wrong polarization state. This began at 19:28:32 and ran through 21:20:48 UT. The pipeline was down this morning, so our quicklook images have been unavailable during the morning.
