The solar installation is on hold pending a resolution on the decision to replace inverter C or purchase a 3-phase inverter. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Jun 10 01:19:00 GMT 2026 Network changes Spent some time working with NETS this morning to configure the big cisco switch to act as our main network equipment. We made progress in configuring the device but we were unable to get it to talk to UH. One thing that was found during this work, is we were using the wrong jumper fiber between the MLSO-SHOP and SHOP-UCHIDA. The whole path is multimode, but the jumper was single mode. This jumper was replaced with an SC-LC MM jumper, which should increase the SNR on the link. Before we made the change the link SNR was near the lower limit of what our hardware can handle. When we get the root password for the switch from NETs we will be able to see how much this changed the link quality. ___end___ UCOMP COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Jun 10 01:23:34 GMT 2026 ucomp realtime software The camera readout code was updated to put the camera in to "live" readout mode. We did not have this in the code before, but reading out the manual this seems like a requirement for the camera to be in a mode to respond to triggers. I am not sure why it worked on the old computer in the older version of labview. I think this is the correct mode to do this. UCoMP realtime code now seems like it would be ready to test on sky. However with the current power levels it is unlikely we can get it into a state where we are ready to take science data until we we sort out the inverters.
