Skies: The sky is very bright with bands of Cirrostratus clouds scattered across the horizon in all directions. Heavy fog in the Saddle Valley up to approximately 8,500' elevation. The inversion layer is visible on the horizon just below Hualalai. Little to no wind.

I started the Kcor instrument and began the Focus routine, but the sky is much too bright at this time to run a focus or observe.

There appears to be more clouds located lower on the eastern horizon than slightly higher in the sky. I will try running the focus after the Sun has risen a bit.

Skies: The sky conditions have gotten worse and the cloud coverage has increased so that now the entire sky is completely overcast with a heavy layer of Cirrostratus clouds. Additionally, Orographic clouds have formed and are now making their way over the southern and western slope of Maunaloa.

Due to poor sky conditions I am going to turn off the Kcor computer and close the dome in order to preserve power in the event that sky conditions improve enough for observing.
