Visible inspections of the gear train showed no obvious issues even while the RA showed jumps. I expected to see some motion on the spur gear or jumping of the worm gear nothing was seen. Adding a 4 pound weight on the t-handle seems to have cleared up the jumps. This is the same mass on a string that we historically used to quell RA issues. ___end___ ** KCOR PROBLEM REPORTED BY berkey ** : Wed Aug 19 18:57:45 GMT 2026 Kcor circular acquisition error on 18:51:03 ___end___ Weather COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Aug 19 19:05:52 GMT 2026 Cirrus starting to pass in front of the sun. ___end___ ** KCOR PROBLEM REPORTED BY berkey ** : Wed Aug 19 19:09:24 GMT 2026 Kcor circular acquisition error again 19:05:58-19:08:45 ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Aug 19 23:14:53 GMT 2026 Kcor realtime software updated to collect camera temperatures for every fits file. After some testing it looks like the current scheme works effectively without getting into race conditions with other camera operations. The infrastructure to add the 4 temperature values into the header were built up. However during testing we found that that adding all for new header keywords put us over the 2-36 header card block that we allocated in the Kcor data. We can accommodate 2 new header values one from each camera. Going froward we need to chose one of the following: - Only save the Camera array temps and not the case temperature. -Change socketcam of the labview header injection code to make room for 3 -2880 byte blocks unsteady of the 2 we currently allocate. -Remove to other keywords or comments from the L0 header. For now the header code has been revert no not record the camera temps until we pick a path ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY KCOR: Wed Aug 19 23:15:37 GMT 2026 KCOR file transfer report KCor created 437 .bin files 426 .fts files NOTICE ? 11 .bin file(s) with no matching .fts: 20260819_185753_kcor.bin 20260819_190845_kcor.bin 20260819_191117_kcor.bin 20260819_214231_kcor.bin 20260819_214422_kcor.bin 20260819_215207_kcor.bin 20260819_215835_kcor.bin 20260819_222424_kcor.bin 20260819_224221_kcor.bin 20260819_225606_kcor.bin 20260819_230116_kcor.bin Remote site is complete ? no rsync required. ___end___ Weather COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Aug 19 23:41:59 GMT 2026 Cirrus got a lot thicker and interesting looking with varying patterns after about 19 UT. ___end___ Logger COMMENT BY berkey: Wed Aug 19 23:42:04 GMT 2026 Log closed ONSITE STAFF: berkey ___end___
