The computer wasn't responding to any input, so did a hard reboot. This did not help as the computer is stuck on the same screen again. ___end___ Weather COMMENT BY lisapg: Wed Oct 14 16:19:00 GMT 2026 MLO Current Weather Timestamp (UTC): 2026-10-14 16:14:00 Temperature : 35.5 deg F Dew Point : 15.64 deg F Pressure : 679.0 mbar Wind Speed : 0.67 mph Wind Direction : 230.5 deg Skies: Sky looks clear with a thin haze at about 11,000 ft. If all goes well today, three concrete trucks will be up tomorrow and then next week Tuesday, which should be all the concrete pouring for the high sampling tower but we should receive updates as things change. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY lisapg: Wed Oct 14 17:13:11 GMT 2026 entry was edited Construction crew on site, prepping for when the concrete truck comes in. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY lisapg: Wed Oct 14 19:04:40 GMT 2026 Concrete truck has arrived ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY lisapg: Wed Oct 14 19:12:45 GMT 2026 Dome open ___end___ ** UCOMP PM lisapg ** : Wed Oct 14 19:12:49 GMT 2026 Blew off UCoMP O1 ___end___ ** KCOR PM lisapg ** : Wed Oct 14 19:12:52 GMT 2026 Blew off Kcor O1 ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY lisapg: Wed Oct 14 19:14:20 GMT 2026 Currently the construction crew is in a holding pattern and no dust is being kicked up at present. Tom thinks that the update might have broken how the computer was booting up: before, it was trying and failing to boot into Legacy and then would boot into EFI; after the update, it would hang when failing to boot into Legacy. Not too sure how it all works but I think that's the gist. He had me go into the BIOS and do the change that the computer was asking for: "Please change 'Onboard Video Option ROM' setup item to 'Legacy' for Legacy OS" and see if that fixed the hanging. This switch over was saved and the computer came up with no problems. I was able to get a little bit of data and verified that this didn't break our normal operations, for now. As a precaution, Tom also had me turn off automatic updates in general for the KCor computer so this doesn't happen again. He recommended that we check for updates once a month and then apply them when it's convenient for us and we are there in case something else breaks after the update. ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY KCOR: Wed Oct 14 23:54:54 GMT 2026 KCOR file transfer report KCor created 50 .bin files 50 .fts files Remote site is complete ? no rsync required. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY lisapg: Wed Oct 14 23:59:55 GMT 2026 Unfortunately not much data today.
