If these values show up as MID or IN in the header the code now "highlights" them as read. This should catch the error we have had in the mornings after code start of the KCor MC4u controller; where we were explicitly reading back the location of the mechanisms. If observers notice a RED metadata when they think we are taking science data the offending stage should be explicitly commanded with the MC4u GUI to the location that it is ether expected or visually verified to be located. For example: typically at facility start up the DIFFUSER is out of the beam but the meta-data maybe shown as Mid. Pushing the DIFFUSER out button command the DIFFUSER to move, where it would identify that it is at the OUT beam limit switch and update the meta-data without actually moving. ___end___ Tue May 26 17:27:25 GMT 2026 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Tue May 26 17:44:09 GMT 2026 Kcor Focus/alignment program exited Tue May 26 18:01:56 GMT 2026 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Tue May 26 19:32:46 GMT 2026 Dome closed lower shutter for some wind screening. ___end___ Tue May 26 19:38:24 GMT 2026 KCOR End Patrol Tue May 26 19:38:25 GMT 2026 KCOR Start Calibration script: c:\kcor\mlso-calibration22deg-20171025.ini Tue May 26 19:53:39 GMT 2026 KCOR End Calibration Script Tue May 26 19:53:56 GMT 2026 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Tue May 26 19:53:57 GMT 2026 KCOR Start Synoptic Patrol Solar Event COMMENT BY berkey: Wed May 27 00:48:05 GMT 2026 Observed Prominence Interesting prominence? structure seen in kcor near PA 70 significantly brighter than I would have expected based on what I see in SDO but no related features appear in h-alpha. The feature has had some evolution over the course of the day but has remained bright. ___end___ KCOR COMMENT BY KCOR: Wed May 27 00:48:46 GMT 2026 KCOR file transfer report KCor created 1803 .bin files 1800 .fts files NOTICE ? 3 .bin file(s) with no matching .fts: 20260526_170800_kcor.bin 20260526_173904_kcor.bin 20260527_004749_kcor.bin Remote site is complete ? no rsync required. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY berkey: Wed May 27 01:10:42 GMT 2026 EPC on site since 11-3.
