MLSO Weather:

The current weather is warm (approximately 55 Deg F) and mild. The sky is crisscross with Cirrus and Cirrostratus clouds. Little to no wind.

Power Supply Status.

The solar array panels for the Yeti and Eco Flo have both been reinstalled and both power system batteries are charging. We changed the layout of the Eco Flow panels slightly to accommodate the Sun's more southernly position in the sky. 

The battery levels for the power units are as follows:

Eco Flo: 98%

Yeti: 84%

Facility Status:

This morning prior to arriving at the observatory several areas of the Maunaloa access road had rocks and other debris in the scattered across road in many areas. Extra caution was required in these areas where it was evident that a torrent of water had washed out areas next to the road.

Inside the facility there was some standing water in the PSPT dome room, where it appears that water may have been blown in through the rear door seal.

End Of Day:

The hurricane did not cause any substantial damage to the observatory or science area.

All systems have been inspected and reset for observing. 

The sky is now completely overcast with wisps of fog blowing through the science area.

Tomorrow we will be onsite at Sunrise and with weather permitting we will be on sky observing bright and early.
